Miss Maine Teen USA 2012

I can honestly say that being Miss Maine Teen USA 2012 completely changed my life. This was my very first pageant and I feel blessed to have been given so many opportunities by winning the title. Miss Maine Teen USA opened up so many doors for me and has truly helped me grow as an individual. I have met so many inspiring people through this industry and have also created life long friendships. I am currently signed with Empower Model Management and I am also working on potentially expanding my modeling career with agencies in Boston and New York. Aside from modeling, my athletic career has also expanded. I have been a Varsity Athlete since my Freshmen Year in High School and this past year I became a Captain of my Varsity Track Team. I have also participated in Varsity Soccer and played on a Nationally ranked rugby team. Academically I am involved in multiple school clubs and organizations including being a Student Class Officer for all four years of High School. Some of my greatest accomplishments were made throughout my Irish Step Dancing career. I have been a competitive Irish Step Dancer for over ten years and have achieved the highest level of becoming an Open Champion Irish Step Dancer. I have competed Regionally, Nationally, and in the World Championships of Irish Dance. I am personally ranked in the top 20% of New England as well as the top 50% of the Nation for Irish Step Dancing.

Also, I have been blessed with the opportunity to make friends at the Special Olympics Games and because my experience was so heart warming, I have continued my charity work with the Special Olympics. Miss Maine Teen gave me so many wonderful experiences as well as beneficial knowledge that I have applied to my everyday life. Being Miss Maine Teen USA has inspired me to pursue my passion for modeling, acting, stage performance, and working with children. I never would have imagined myself having the courage to live out my dream but my experience as Miss Maine Teen USA has truly altered my out look on life forever. I will be graduating High School in Spring of 2013 and then I will be attending a University to further my education and pursue all of my passions. I may not know exactly what I am going to do with my life but I know that no matter what I do or where I go, I will hold my head high and never back down from anything or anyone. Miss Maine Teen USA has given me the confidence and strength to evolve into the person I have always wanted to be. I have learned so much about who I am and I am determined to live out all of my dreams and passions. Lastly, there is no doubt that I will take everything I have learned from my reign and continue to positively impact the lives of those around me.

Miss Maine Teen USA 2010

Winning the title my junior year in high school became a huge life changer for me. I think I knew of myself as someone who could fill such a role, but never did I imagine it actually happening to me. Once I got crowned my outlooks completely changed, I blossomed into a young adult who knew what she wanted and went for it. My experience being in reign is more than words can explain. Being able to represent the state of Maine locally and on a national level was a privilege and honor. I am now continuing my work with the pageant, doing community events, as well as pursuing my modeling and fashion related hobbies. I am finishing college in Florida, but I still enjoy spending time in Maine when I can. My family and I have been a part of the pageant world for more than 7 seven years now, so it really feels like an extended family. I will always have a love for pageantry, especially because it opened so many doors for me and adventures!

Some past & present highlights:
• Intern/Model for Seventeen Magazine
• Representative/Model for a luxury swimwear line, Miss Kinsman out of LA
• Signed with agencies in Boston & Florida
• Promotional/ modeling work for Miami Dolphins
• Model for a Maine game show called, Tradin’Up on the CW
• Correspondent on the Ray & Ted radio talk show, WLOB News Talk 1310 am

Along with winning the title, these opportunities came up along the way. I have been blessed to be able to give each and every single opportunity my all. I came to find that the entertainment industry and fashion industry is all mixed into pageantry. For me, finding this passion of dream pursuing has been a part of my life. I unintentionally walked into opportunities that made me who I am today. All the travel for photo shoots, and fashion events is so worth while. I made connections and networked tons, which got me amazing internships. It has been a journey ever since the crown.
